1980s[]
Sid the Seagull first slipped on the screens of TV in 1980 as part of the Skin Cancer Council's campaign to reduce skin cancer. Originally his words were Slip, Slop, Slap, meaning Slip on a shirt, Slop on sunscreen and Slap on a hat. The advert was instantly successful and more hit the TV Screens.
2000s[]
In 2007 his motto got a reboot to Slip Slop Slap, Seek and Slide. His shirt colour changed from Yellow to Blue, he gained Sunnies and lost the teeth hanging out
